According to order № RD-01-448 / 31.07.2020 of the Minister of Health, as of August 1, 2020 until August 31, 2020, the entry into the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria IS ALLOWED FOR Bulgarian citizens, citizens of the Member States of the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, countries of the Schengen Agreement (the Republic of San Marino, Principality Andorra, the Principality of Monaco and the Vatican City State), and members of their families (including persons actually living with them); citizens of the Union of Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, the Kingdom of Morocco, New Zealand, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Korea, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Tunisia, the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ukraine, the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the Republic of Albania , The Republic of Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Republic of Moldova, Israel and the Emirate of Kuwait; persons with permanent, long-term or long-term residence status on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and their family members, persons holding a Bulgarian long-stay visa type "D", as well as persons who have a residence permit in a Member State of the European Union, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or a Schengen country agreement (including the Republic of San Marino, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco and the Vatican City State) and members of their families.

 

 

Transit is allowed only in cases where immediate departure from the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria can be guaranteed.


All persons authorized to enter the country and arriving at a point of departure from Member States of the European Union, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, from Schengen Agreement (the Republic of San Marino, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco and Vatican City State), from the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Commonwealth of Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, the Kingdom of Morocco, New Zealand, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Korea, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Tunisia, the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Ukraine are admitted to the country WITHOUT the necessity of showing a negative result from a polymerase chain reaction assay for the detection of COVID-19.

 

All persons who are allowed to enter the country and who arrive with a starting point of departure from third countries other than those mentioned above are admitted to the territory of the country upon submission of a document showing a negative result of a polymerase chain reaction PCR test proof of COVID-19.

 

Bulgarian citizens and persons with the status of permanent, long-term or long-term residence on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and their family members, who are obliged to provide a document showing a negative COVID-19 result from a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test conducted up to 72 hours before entering the country, but do not do so, are placed under quarantined for a period of 14 days.
