The project was approved under the "Program for financing of marketing activities of tourist services in the Black Sea municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria" of the Ministry of Tourism and will be implemented throughout 2024 by the municipality of Dalgopol in partnership with the municipalities of Provadia and Dolni Chiflik, Franga Ltd - tour operator on the Polish market and Fraport Twin Star Airport Management JSC.

DISCOVERY is aimed at the small Black Sea municipalities located around the major tourist attraction Varna to gain wide popularity and become attractive destinations for incoming tourists from Poland, and a special focus will be to strengthen year-round tourism in these places. The approach of the project aims to help increase the interest of Polish tourists to visit the places of the integrated tourist packages on the territory of the three municipalities, and thus increase tourist employment and promote year-round tourism. This will lead to an increase in the image of "Destination Bulgaria" as a recognizable territory internationally;

On the territory of the three municipalities there is untapped potential for the development of various forms of tourism. The geographical situation, the available natural resources combined with the unique cultural heritage - ancient fortresses, rock monasteries, living traditions, customs, gastronomy, etc., reveal the potential for integrated development and building links between them and stimulating economic development in these areas. The project proposes a comprehensive concept for the marketing of innovative tourism products in the three municipalities through interactive visualisation and an extensive advertising campaign.
