Aksakovo Municipality is located in the eastern part of the Danube Plain, occupying part of the Dobrudja Plateau and a small part along the valley of the Batova river. The municipality is located in the region of the Aksaxovo region. There is an outlet to the Black Sea with a 4 km long strip between Golden Sands and Kranevo. Its unique location next to the largest resort complexes on the Northern Black Sea coast - Golden Sands, St.. Sv. Konstantin and Elena, Albena, Kranevo and Balchik, makes it a favorable place for the development of rural, hunting and sports tourism.
On the territory of the municipality are located some of the largest and most beautiful dams, which are located near the villages of Lyuben Karavelovo, Zasmjano, Botevo, Krumovo and Osenovo, and it includes part of the Natural Park "Golden Sands", Natural Park "Pobiti Kamani" and the locality "Batova".
